Viracocha In Store Now!!

The 2WJD store now carries a selection of Viracocha clothing, designed by the lovely Kyoko Nakatsubo.  The clothes are made exclusively in Japan and 2WJD is the only store on the west coast that carries this line!  Viracocha is sold in Isetan department store in Japan.  Most of the items are unique, one-of-a-kind pieces in the United States, so you will not be wearing the same clothes are your friends!  The clothes are 50s island inspired and have a Japanese cutesy and fun feel so they are sure to add a special touch to your wardrobe!

Viracocha's signature dress is a long, gray, jersey dress with an open back!  The open back is sexy and emphasizes your waist.  It is comfortable to slip on with a straw hat and wedge shoes for a day at the beach or going out shopping!

An especially fun piece is this high quality, Japanese-made denim, tie-front jacket embroidered with a banana and the words "Banana Split" on the back!  As all fashionistas know, Japanese denim is totally different from other mass produced denim with the beautiful wash, making it the best in the world.  The banana embroidery on this jacket is also highly detailed with such clean stitching and is just lovely!

These denim flared overalls have a cute vintage print detail on the inside lining!  The denim is also high quality Japanese-made material that is so soft, you never get the stiff, uncomfortable feeling of unworn denim.  The vintage print on the lining is of miniature bottles!

My favorites are these well-made, shirts with colorful knit details on the sleeves and inside of the pocket!  Something unusual is that the sleeves have a double lining, which is extremely luxurious.  On the black shirt alone are lime green and aqua blue stripes, magenta zig zags and black dot designs.  The pocket shows the same design.  Wow, a splash of color!  Available in black, light gray, and off white.

These beautiful leggings are spectacular and remind me of Harajuku in Japan where people dress up in fantastically bizarre fashions.  To make it wearable here, this will look best under a solid color dress!  Only the back of the  leggings the waistband and not in the front to fit women of all different sizes.

This is a good outfit to relax in!  Both pieces are made of a comfortable, super soft pile material with striped details on the inside of the hood, on the cuffs, and pockets.  A must have for the surfer chick or California bohemian!  Available in red and gray.

These ice cream cone earring studs sparkle with rhinestones and silver edging.  The pretty pastel pink, blue and yellow colors look sweet!

Los Angeles Fashion Tradeshow!

Last week, 2WJD participated in a fashion tradeshow! It was held in Downtown Los Angeles and 2WJD had a booth showcasing JOI dresses and 2WJD graphic print shirts!

Here is Shiho showing off a silver JOI dress with lace embellishments that she designed!  She is also looking good in a pink Marlyn JOI dress!

This is another of Shiho's lovely creations, a gray x white x black fringe layered JOI dress!

Here is part of the JOI display with the pink and white dresses.  So many people came by and told us they love our line!  Shiho was also interviewed by Yoko Fujimoto from Senken Shinbun, the Japanese Fashion Trade newspaper, and the article will come out in a couple of weeks!  We will blog about it when it comes out!

2WJD Donates JOI Luxe Dress to Generosity Water Fundraiser

At the 3rd Annual Generosity Water Fundraiser, designer Shiho Oribe donated a JOI Luxe dress to help raise money for clean water in developing countries.  It is just dumbfounding to realize that 1 billion people in the world do not have access to clean water and how much we as Americans in our daily lives take advantage of the luxuries we possess, especially something as simple as water.

Generosity Water is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to ending the clean water crisis in developing countries.  Shiho's JOI Luxe dress and items donated by like-minded people were auctioned and raised an amazing total of $100,000.  This money will build wells and provide water in countries such as Haiti, Ghana and India, giving them hope of a brighter future.

Celebrity guests at this year's gala included hosts Giuliana Rancic and Jason Kennedy along with 30 Seconds to Mars' Jared Leto, Twilight's Tinsel Korey, The Real Housewives of New York's Kelly Bensimon, The Hills' Stephanie Pratt & Jayde Nicole, Desperate Housewives' Emily Bergl, Glee's Charlotte Ross, and many others.

Shiho on Soul Kisses TV!
